Hi Angles,

Hope you all are doing well and enjoyed my last blog!

Who doesn’t like gifts when you reach home after a long tour? Quite a no brainer right?  Yes, early last week when I reached home ,I received this package from Biobloom. I have known Biobloom as an organic brand from various well known magazines like Femina and Verve and have come across their products on amazon. So quite naturally when I found out that I would be doing a collaboration with them I was ecstatic!

For those of you who are new to organic products, Biobloom is a highly respected and authentic brand that offers natural & chemical free skin, hair, bath & baby care products as well as an aromatherapy well-being range of products. Biobloom claims that their products are formulated using cold pressed oils, rare herb & root extracts and pure essential oils to put together goodness of nature packed inside a bottle to fit into your busy, modern lifestyles with ease.

So last weekend I decided to give my curls some much needed treatment by applying Biobloom’s Hair Cleanser. This Hair Strengthening Hair Cleanser (Shampoo) is made with Ginger Juice and Basil, Peppermint and Hibiscus essential oils as well as Almond and Coconut Oils which help improve blood circulation, providing nourishment to weak hair. It also claims to be totally Sulphate and Paraben free.

( both are commonly used harmful chemicals present in most of the shampoos available in the market)

This particular product is enriched with primarily three herbal ingredients – Ginger, Hibiscus and Basil, each having their own benefits.

Ginger has been traditionally used to protect and condition hair, speed up hair growth, reduce dandruff and prevent hair loss. Ginger has a warming, stimulating effect that promotes blood circulation. It also has a reputation as a natural anti-inflammatory agent.

Hibiscus is effective in combating hair loss and promoting hair growth. It is a remedy for premature aging and branching of hair. Application of hibiscus leaves and flowers to the scalp is believed to be beneficial, as it has cooling and soothing properties. This herb is also a good conditioner and moisturizer for the hair and scalp. It makes the hair soft, supple and shiny.

Basil helps rejuvenate hair follicles to stimulating them to start producing healthy hair again. It also helps strengthen the hair shaft. This herb has anti-oxidant properties. Basil oil is also a good moisturizer for the hair and helps restore luster to dry and brittle hair.

We can use this Hair Cleanser like we apply any other shampoo. Just massage your wet hair with this hair cleanser to form a foaming lather. Then rinse with water thoroughly.

My thoughts on the product: Frankly speaking I have been ignoring my hair for a while now and my frequent travels is not helping the cause either. So before using this product my hair was little dry and felt quite dry. I used this product yesterday and I should say that …

One thing that came to my mind is that while applying this product there was very less foam (which I feel is in a way good because this indicates that this product is indeed free from foam causing chemicals used in many conventional products)

I must be mention that true “Natural” and “Organic” products always comes with a relatively higher price tag but worth every penny when weighed against the benefits or rather the severe damage caused by chemical laden conventional products. This hair cleanser comes in two sizes.ie, 100ml for 350 INR and 200ml for 559 INR (price at which it is available on amazon ).

Overall my experience with this product is quite positive and I would recommend it to others but quantity is very less.

Some additional stuffs I loved about this product:

  1. Biobloom claims that they do not indulge in any kind of Animal Testing
  2. They also claim to avoid all ingredients that are harmful to our environment and leave carbon footprints.
